With round 1 of both USA Nationals and European Championship completed, let's compare the number of competitors:

European Championship leads with an overall number of competition entries (including multiple entries) by a healthy 30% margin, while the total number of competitors (not including multiple entries) is somewhat closer, but still on the European side.

The most popular class in Europe was PRO-AM Ski Lites, while in USA it was a tie between PRO-AM Ski GP and PRO-AM Ski Stock Spec.

Even in Runabout classes, a generally stronger USA market, Europe also had more competitors.

USA had more competitors in Sport and AM Freestyle classes.

USA also had more race classes, which, along with less competitors than in Europe, resulted in much smaller fields, with a whopping 12/22 classes with 3 or less entries, compared to just 2/14 classes in Europe.
