Sunday, Aug 19, was the last round of US Nationals.  2012 season was to be decided for all classes on that day.  Everything was looking good for Sean "Snorris" Morris at the first two motos the day before and it seemed he would wrap up another successful season.  Moto 3 seemed to have started fine, but very soon after the start a string of bad luck happened.

First, Sean's jetski abruptly broke down. He kneeled in the tray, trying to stay on the machine.  However, he was then hit from behind by another jetski. To add to the string of bad luck was the fact that Expert Ski GP was not even a running class for the first 3 rounds of US Nationals.  It was only added at the Reno, NV round when 6 racers turned out for it.

Sean was quickly taken to the hospital, where due to severeness of his injuries (multiple pelvis fractures, a large gash to his upper thigh) he had to be admitted to Intensive Care Unit.  He is now out of ICU, where he also had to have a bowel bag put in place due to internal damage.

Sean is in a great deal of pain, and has a very difficult recovery ahead of him. According to doctors will have to remain in the hospital for at least 2 more weeks and will then require up to 6 months to recover.

If you would like to help Sean cope with medical bills he will incur, please consider donating (through PayPal) to Sean Morris fund.

For every $10 donated, the donor will receive one entry into the raffle of items that are being contributed by industry companies.

UPDATE (Wednesday, Aug 22): Sean is being taken from the hospital to the airport to fly home to Canada, where he will continue his recovery.
