Asia and Middle East were already the place to compete in this year, with Aquabike World Championship rounds in China (Sanya and Lizhou), Qatar and United Arab Emirates, plus King's Cup in Thailand all coming up before the end of the year.  And there is now yet another big competition in China!

We like it so much we are working on sending our two sponsored riders, freestyler Aleksandar Petrovic and racer Volia Dzikovich.

Below you can find the original announcement:

QUANGXI, CHINA – The Chinese Motorboats Association in cooperation with the Qinzhou Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the 2013 Asian Aquabike Qinzhou Grand Prix to be held on October 26-27, 2013 in Qinzhou, China.  The event will be a first class international event and one of many large events to be held in China in the future.  The event will feature a cash purse of $1,000,000 CNY (which in US dollars is over $162,000 at the current exchange rate) making it one of the highest paying watercraft racing events in history.

The Chinese Association, host cities and government are serious about the sport of Aquabike and have several other large events in the planning stages for 2014 and beyond.  The event is sanctioned by the Chinese Motorboats Association and run according to the association's rules.
