Some bad news for racers and fans of a successful European Alpe Adria Cup. After 8 years, a race tour which began as a tri-country tour (Austria, Croatia, Slovenia) then expanded to all parts of Europe in recent years, will not be coming back for 2014. Alpe Adria Cup was one of the best organized European events, which XJETSKI.com reported about when we visited the final round of 2012 season and reported about it. But, 2013 saw a significant drop in racer attendance, which could be because of the breakup of the series in two separate events (Alpe Adria Cup and Alpe Adria Tour) at the beginning of this season.

Below is the official announcement:

Dear Alpe Adria Cup pilots, sponsors, promoters and friends!

There will be no Alpe Adria Cup race in 2014! Because of the actual situation in jetski sport we need a break. We only want to say that AAT (Alpe Adria Tour) is NOT a continuation auf AAC. It’s a different tour with other interests, rules and members!

We wish all racers a safe season 2014 and all race-promoters the same response and happiness we have the last 8 years with AAC!

See you soon!
Your AAC-Team
