UPDATE: From our original report below it appeared as if though Jetcross was still a single championship.  However, that is not correct, Jetcross is not a championship anymore, but several separate independent national cups PLUS a separate single event called Jetcross World Cup.  As such, a winner of a national cup (this year there will be 2) will be awarded a Jetcross French Cup (for race in France) or Jetcross Nordic Cup (for race in Norway) champion title.  Both will be in ski class only.  Separately, the Jetcross World Cup event in UK will award Jetcross World Cup champion title.  What this all means is that every Jetcross event will be a competition for a title.

We hope this clears it up, and we hope to get Jetcross organizers for an interview soon to explain all the changes in full detail.

The world's most popular ski-only race series is undergoing a major change this season.  Jetcross tour was also known as France Nationals until last year, when it stepped outside of France for the first time. The results were still counted for France Nationals, but it was apparent the sights were set on the international stage.

So, it comes as no surprise to hear that Jetcross has rebranded itself as "Jetcross World Cup", with 3 international stops.  To be fair, all the stops are in Europe, but it is safe to assume that it will be like that only until next year.

Without further ado, here are the 3 rounds of the new Jetcross World Cup.

May 16 - Vichy, France (this is to be confirmed, because it overlaps with round 1 of European Championship)

July 24 - Doncaster, UK

Aug 13 - Bergen, Norway

At this time we are unsure what will happen with France Nationals.
